Hi, I'm Ashlee!

I am so excited to be a part of the Smart Homes Tutoring team! I have wanted to be a teacher since first grade. Although the subject area has changed over the years my love of learning and teaching has never wavered. I taught a class of ninth through twelfth grade students for several years. These students needed to get caught up on credits so they could graduate. It was there I learned my students and I could have FUN while learning and putting in the hard work to get the results we wanted. 

I got my degree in History Teaching and Psychology and took that to Texas and Florida where I taught middle school Math. Go figure. Over the few years when I had students ask the age-old question, "When am I ever going to use this in real life?" I would answer, "I never thought I would use it in a million years, but look at me now! Using it almost every day!" I have come to appreciate and love math for its own reasons, while still holding history and psychology close to my heart. I love travelling with my little family, hiking, playing soccer where I can, and watching all the movies.
